Modern Britain Group



The Modern British Group is interdisciplinary and primarily focused on the 19th and 20th century, including transnational, imperial and post-colonial topics. Aimed at faculty and graduate students, particularly in History, Political Science, ISS, English Literature, South Asia Studies, Urban Studies, Material Culture Studies, and Art History, Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies, the group hosts speakers from Yale, as well as invited visitors from North America and the UK. The Group is open and provides speakers with constructive, critical feedback. It also serves at times as a reading group.
